About the club

A country pickleball club
above Stow.

Founded in 2014 by a handful of locals who wanted somewhere unhurried to play after work. A decade on, we’re still member-run, still proudly amateur, and still keeping the kettle on.

Facilities

Seven courts, one warm pavilion.

Refurbished in 2023 with the help of a Pickleball England grant. Step-free access throughout. The stable-block bar serves a properly good claret.

  • Seven courts

Four cushioned acrylic, three outdoor acrylic. All floodlit, bookable until 10pm.

  • 1928 stone pavilion

Refitted in 2023 with new changing rooms, a refit kitchen and full step-free access.

  • Pro shop & paddle service

Same-day paddle re-grips in season. A small pro shop for grips, pickleballs and court shoes.

  • Bar & terrace

    Members’ bar Wed–Sun with a south-facing terrace and a much-loved cream tea.

  • Kitchen garden

Tended by the Whittakers since 2016. Members are warmly welcomed to pick from it.

  • Country parking

Twenty spaces, plus an EV charger added in 2024. Bike racks at the gate.
